THE FOUNDRY
Even if the ancestral way of reproducing an original bronze sculpture hasn’t changed, the techniques have greatly evolved as well as the knowledge of the founders.
To participate in the realization of a bronze in close collaboration with the different working shops of the foundery is fascinating. From the moulding of the clay piece, the model made in wax, the pouring of the melted metal, the long work of engraving until the final touch, the patina!
The lost wax casting demands a great mastering of hand gesture.
At every step of this long, complex and delicate process, the sculptor needs to have all these abilities reunited in order to reproduce as faithfully as possible his/her clay sculpture into bronze.
